What is the difference between Behavior Consulting and regular Private Lessons?
Behavior Consulting focuses on changing emotions and getting to the core of a behavior problem, versus just focusing on teaching obedience behaviors and skills. The goal is to work on changing our dogs emotional capacity and help build better decision making skills. When our dogs are over threshold or triggered they aren't able to use their obedience skills reliably. First we need to work on teaching them how to regulate themselves, and teaching you how to recognize those moments and give them support.
Behavior consulting focuses on teaching you why your dogs behavior is happening, what exactly is happening to them, how we can create meaningful and long lasting change, and then getting you there together.

Please note that for all private training clients we begin with a Phone Consultation and our trainers will determine which path best suits your dog during your Phone Consultation.

Phone Consultation
Phone consultations are typically 15 - 30 minutes long.
This is where all of our clients begin their journey with us. It is a great way to ask us some questions, give us an idea of what is going on in your home, and talk with us about the training process. This phone call can help you feel more comfortable and confident in booking your initial session with us and is a great way to get to know us.
Phone Consultations are available by appointment. If you'd like to get one scheduled just reach out and we will get you booked!

Initial Behavior Consultation
Initial Consultiations are 90 minutes long.
Initial Lessons are held both virtually and in person. Your trainer will determine which would be the best option during your phone consultation. During our initial consultation we will discuss your struggles and goals as well as evaluate your dog. We will go over a lot of concepts, introduce you to some new skills, and even get you practicing!
We do require pre-payment for initial lessons.
In Person - $300
Virtual - $250

Behavior Lessons
Behavior lessons are typically an hour long.
Behavior Lessons are held both virtually and in person. Which path you choose depends on your goals and your dog and is a decision you make with your trainer. This will be something you discuss in your initial consultation.
In Person - $175
Virtual - $125
If there are multiple dogs in the home that require training there is an additional multi-dog fee of $25.
