We have worked with Meggan and Lydia since we realized we needed help with our smart but sensitive rescue Great Dane. He was leash reactive and fearful. Meggan and Lydia gave us considerable help with his leash reactivity, resource guarding and even some great tips on Rally training. We made such great progress that when we were given the chance to rescue another dog, we were able to do so. It was difficult at first and I was very worried about the well being of both dogs. But we were determined to put in the necessary work to make them both happy. Meggan spent considerable time providing on-going guidance and support as we slowly worked towards becoming a two dog home. Both dogs are currently playing chase with each other and we have Meggan to thank for that.
Lydia has been doing a mid day drop in to let my dogs out on my long work day. Yesterday while out on our morning walk one of my dogs was bitten by an off leash dog. I checked him and did not see any damage, but when Lydia came over later in the day she texted me a photo of a bite wound on one of his hind legs. I was stuck at my office in Round Rock and she was kind enough to take my boy over to my vet for repairs and then brought him back home. I am SO thankful for her watchful eye and amazing commitment to her clients and their dogs! Thanks for going above and beyond Lydia - you are awesome!

My husband and I were so impressed with the services of Enlightened Hounds. Meggan and Lydia visited the house and met our sweet yellow lab, Nala. They really took the time to get to know her and her needs. Nala loved them both right away!
The first time we used the service, I was so impressed that Meggan kept in contact with me about everything with Nala. I was not worried to leave her at all. Meggan sent pictures of Nala and I knew she was happy and well taken care of.
Meggan took extra time to ask questions about Nala and kept me informed of their daily schedule.

Meggan has worked with my border collie and I on some pretty extreme anxiety and aggression issues. I love the way she educates the owner and lays out a unique training plan to fit the owner and dog's specific needs. She never uses punishment or other harsh methods because there's no need. My border collie is now able to relax, is happy to meet new people, and can cope in stressful situations thanks to Meggan's guidance. I've referred many of my clients who have dogs struggling with behavioral issues.

My Dutch Shepherd and I attended a class today with Lydia from Enlightened Hounds. It was awesome. We learned so much, and I love the low-stress environment. Really made it easy to practice with my dog without feeling stupid. Lydia is a very supportive trainer. After I learned how to teach Finn place, I taught his sister Phoebe as well.

Ally is a rescue and she joined our family as an active, energetic puppy. We were not prepared for her level of energy, so much so that a few days after adopting her, we wondered if we were going to be able to keep her. Not being people who give up easily and who are committed, we contacted Enlightened Hounds and started working with Meggan, hoping to learn how manage Ally's energy and behavior. Without a doubt, Meggan knew what she was doing. She taught us strategies that were quickly effective and they were based on positive rewards, rather than punishment.
